Welcome friends! I'm SO excited about this weeks post, because after nearly a year of talking about our barn cats that we have on our hobby farm, I'm finally sharing them with you!

Here's how it'll work: For each cat, I'll share some photos and a little about each of them - their personality, quirks, etc. They're all different, so I hope you enjoy getting to know each of the kitties! Enjoy fellow animal lovers! =^_^=
Meet Picket!
Picket is my favorite cat out of our other four kitties (no hard feelings, okay?) primarily because 1) he was the first kitten we got on this farm, and 2) he's the friendliest and sweetest of all the cats (in my opinion)...
If you're wondering, the name Picket was indeed inspired by one of my favorites series, The Green Ember by S.D Smith. I think the name fits him wonderfully, as he the most loyal out of all our cats. He tends to follow me around EVERYWHERE, and enjoys taking walks with us around our property. I have a limited amount of photos of him, because of his color, it's difficult to take pictures of him in certain light settings...
Meet Matthias!
Matthias is such a sweetheart and a favorite of the entire family! He was the one out of several outdoor cats who actually stayed at our farm after a (failed) attempt to get some mousers around here. He has been around the longest, and is EXTREMELY calm and friendly... one of his funny quirks is his short, half-meow.
He makes us all laugh when we open the door and he let's out a short noise, which sounds more like "mow", than a meow... XD
My dad is quite convinced that we should have named him Vincent, because of his half left ear... XD He's a sweetheart regardless! :)
Now we get to the cutest of our cats... THE KITTENS! These kitties have continued to bring this home laughter and joy, so I'm proud to introduce the chubbiest of them ALL...
Oscar (a.k.a "Chunky Monkey")!
*Cheers* Oscar is the laziest, and friendliest of the three kittens we have around here... he loves being held and snuggled, and will nearly fall off your lap if you pet him long enough! We call it 'oozing'! XD
(above) Baby Oscar only a few weeks old (and not so chunky)! *Squeaks* He's got so big... *wipes tear from eye* Oscar is so fun to be around, and is usually found sleeping or playing with his brothers! He loves grabbing anything that dangles, like sweatshirts strings, or *ahem* fingers...
We love having good ol' Chunky Monkey around here; he adds so much fun and laughter to our farm... he also has a special liking for Picket, and it's so sweet to see them hanging out together! :)
Meet Reuben!
I love this picture of our most affectionate cat, Reuben! Reuben is... well...lovey, to say the least. He's one of our prettiest kitties, and definitely the most affectionate BY FAR! He will literally grab your hand and start licking it or chewing on a finger, which can sometimes be REALLY aggravating... but who can resist an ADORABLE kitten who just wants to LICK you to death?
This cutey-kitty loves cuddling with his brothers, while also sometimes being by himself. Unlike the other two kittens, Reuben doesn't really have a 'connection' with either of the older cats...
I guess he's just a natural loner, but when it comes to licking and chewing, Reuben is #1!
Now, let's meet the last of our five kittens, the prettiest kitty of all... the one, the ONLY...
Mr. Bingley! (a.k.a "Bingily Wingily")
Isn't he beautiful?! Mr. Bingley was born the runt of the litter, and honestly, he was a pretty ugly kitten (sorry Mr. Bingley! O.o) But as he grew up, he slowly became our prettiest kitten of them all (I think! :) And yes, the name was inspired by Pride and Prejudice... when he was born, his eyes were SO blue and big, we thought the name would be perfect... now, although his eyes are still beautiful, they have turned from a light blue to a light green color...
He is such a sweet cat, although he tends to be a little skittish unless he recognizes your voice... I just find him the cutest thing, especially since he sometimes has a difficult time breathing, and he often wheezes when he's pet! XD He is also our other cat who has kinda stuck to our older cats, but unlike Oscar's attachment to Picket, Mr. Bingley has always taken a liking to Matthias! They are such a cute duo together! :)
